PUP-Exam Test Dates

Place-Up Pathway (PUP) exams are offered Fall Week 0 and Week 10 each quarter, and they are proctored by the Triton Testing Center. Students must Register in advance during open registration windows (generally starting Week 3 each quarter).

Eligible Students for Fall Week 0 PUP-Exams:

Continuing students with Math 2 or Math 3B placement.
Incoming, First-year students who completed the MPE by June 18, 2026 with Math 2 or Math 3B placement.
Incoming, Transfer students who completed the MPE by July 31, 2026 with Math 2 or Math 3B placement.

Testing Access: Contact mathtesting@ucsd.edu to be added to the Prairie Test platform.
