Test Dates

Bring Your UCSD PID number and photo ID to the test.  Your results cannot be posted if you do not know your PID number.

Incoming Fall Freshmen and Transfer Students:
You do not need a reservation to take the test at any date or location; just show up at the scheduled time and place. It is possible to take the test in advance of your arrival for orientation. For the dates and locations of these tests, go to Early Testing Schedule below. If the early testing dates and locations are inconvenient for you there are additional dates available, generally the night before your scheduled orientation. For the testing schedule for these tests, go to Additional Testing Schedule below. You should complete the testing before going to your College Orientation. Test results may be available at your orientation. The MPE is offered frequently for students expecting to attend orientation sessions held by their UCSD College.

Continuing and Summer Session Students:
If you are a continuing student or wish to take a UCSD math course during Summer Session (Math 10A or 20A) which requires a placement test you may take the MPE at the times and locations shown below in either the Early Testing Schedule or the Additional Testing Schedule. You do not need a reservation to take the test at any date or location, just show up at the scheduled time and place. You may see your results online or pick up the results at the Math Testing and Placement Office, Room 231 Literature Building during weekday working hours anytime after the day of the test.
